Day Five Recap: No-Sugar Low-Carb Diet


Day Five was a Saturday so I had a little extra time to try out some new recipes. I want to give a shout out to Kalyn’s Kitchen…where I’ve been stealing all of these delicious Phase 1 South Beach Diet Recipes from! This Kale and Turkey Sausage Lasagna got really good reviews from everyone who tried it. It was odd how much it reduced overnight in the refrigerator though, but it was still tasty reheated the next day. Both of these recipes are something I will continue to make even after this diet ends.

Here’s what I ate:

Breakfast/Lunch: Avocado, Onions, Bell Peppers, No-Fat Ricotta Cheese Omelet and Raspberry Iced Coffee from Dunkin Donuts

Dinner: Baked Parmesan Tomatoes (Recipe here!) and Sausage and Kale Mock Lasagna (Recipe here!)

Result: – 4.5 lbs (total)
